Consulente legale del governo cinese tra il 1921 e il 1929. Presidente in Francia della commissione sulla proprietà intellettuale, istituita nell'agosto del 1944. Dal 1935 al 1940 collaboratore della rivista "Copyright – Geistiges Eigentum – La Propriété Intellectuelle. International Review of the Protection of Literary, Artistic and Industrial Property". Noto anche per aver organizzato spedizioni alpine in qualità di presidente del Groupe de Haute Montagne
